Won't Compile/take As Groovy

Featured Replies

Hey guys, so I have been just messing around trying to code a quick script and I did it, in Groovy.class or w/e.

So I copied the script, pasted it into a Notepad document:

Save As:

Script Folder:

"Cooker.groovy"

Then I go to run my client and click scripts and it tells me that it can not automatically compile .java scripts.

So I have no idea what to do because I could of sworn it was .groovy :/

Have you tried following one of the many guides on how to properly run a .groovy script?

Have you tried following one of the many guides on how to properly run a .groovy script?

I have other scripts that are working that I've copied and done the same way from other peoples' threads.

If you'd like I can teamview you and help.

I do not.

So here is what I did, whatever I coded in Eclipse, I have copied, and pasted into a notepad document.

I then saved that in the script folder as:

Cooker.groovy, which is what I called the script!

I have other scripts in there that I've copied from other people, is there something else I need to do with the script before I just copy and save it?

Maybe there is an error in your script?

VERY possible.

Can I send it to you?

You can't compile a .groovy file as a .class.

So here's what I did.

In Eclipse, I created a Groovy Class.

Then I copied that code and placed it into a Notepad document, then saved as a .groovy in the folder blah blah blah.

Yes, PM me your script and I'll check it for errors.

I did about 10 minutes ago I think.

Did you get it?

Just now checked. You had a simple bracket error. Fixed it and sent back.
