The title says it all. Today I tried to log into my main and it has been permanently disabled. This was my original RuneScape account. Created in June of 2005, the account my childhood was based around. On OSRS I had clocked a few hundred hours of legitimate play including a 100% hand done 99 hunter, 95 fletching after hand-spinning over 60k bow strings just so I could make a profit alching to 85 mage, and I had just got 156 quest points, on my way to barrows gloves. I had over 100m in gold and items, full void, and the best overall character I have ever played the game with. Not to mention I had like 3 months of membership left. A sad day it is indeed.

 

I do NOT blame the community or any scripters, I blame no one but myself. I knew the risks and I guess I just pushed it a little too hard the past 2 weeks. Not entirely sure what I am going to do now... I guess I can turn my alternate into a main and play on my iron man. I know this is nothing more than a game and honestly I shouldn't be upset about something so stupid but RS has been my escape from stress for 10 years now, and this was my go-to account.

It makes sense to be upset on the level you are I don't think you're being unreasonable(like blaming the both, scripters, etc.).

What's important is that you owned up to it. No worries I had my main from childhood banned too much like you.
I also got scammed in the begining of this month for $325 selling gold and was in debt to paypal for $317 and in order to get out I sold my new main for $300.

I am done with runescape personally, and I couldn't be happier and now I have loads more time Irl, and am able to play other games I have been lying around unused. I even went to Bar Review(tradition in Law School where we go to the bar once a week and chill) for the first-time last week and had an awesome time with new friends. I never went to the bar before and never would have if I was still playing rs. You can continue playing rs if you'd like or consider the ban a blessing in disguise depending how you look at it.

Lost one of my maxed eoc accounts after I moved to OSRS and started botting.

 

Solution: Cry for 2 months. Attempt recovery through several methods. Accept that you are NEVER getting it back. Make a new one.

Yes exactly how I felt! When I had guberdude banned(my first real good account an old friend gave me) I was heart broken(I had 11 months of membership,it was 5 days before christmas 2013 etc). My fault for botting like crazy since I discovered botting in November 2012 until my first 2 day ban in July 2013 up until the tragic day I got perma banned.

 

My main which I wont name filled the void guberdude left and while it's rs3 skills were a joke it's 07 stats easily were top grade(1800+ total levels, almost had a quest cape etc). Those days are over now. I had my fun and am no longer that noob with a pirate hat and 30 mage trash talking other kids online back in 05. I am 22 years old now don't have time to play rs.

 

Some day we're all probably going to quit so it's not bad to quit sooner rather than later(when selling gold and shit will be even loss profitable etc). It'll get easier with time I know how it feels getting a precious account banned.

 

If you have other hobbies you should focus on them now and if not find other things you like and you'll start to feel better soon enough.

Yeah it has been my only major distraction the past few months and thinking about it, it is what has been holding me back from getting my business going and I see it being a very good thing for me. Doesn't mean I won't bot on other accounts just to piss Jagex off because I mean I paid for these scripts and what not but I doubt I'll be doing any major playing anytime soon :P

All I can say is, thank jesus for 2-day bans, and fuck jagex for not always giving them out first offence on main accounts.

But from my experience I have always gotten 2-day bans first offence on main accounts lol.
