the cast time looks really slow though. it might be a little obvious in pvp, unless you plan on using it for bossing, which is a completely different story

energy transfer (specshare) can be done when you are quite far away and they wont know what's happened until you use all your special attacks again (providing it can be done).

 

Planning on buying an account to do this so I was hoping someone would have a definitive answer before I pay some $$ haha.

You can in Pvp worlds, but not in single wildy. Atleast in combat
