The sleeping struggle...

tell me about it brotha, I work from 11pm to 7am five nights a week.. so I have to force my self to sleep during the day every single day all year long. I feel so much weaker ever since i started this shift. I'm almost on 2 years and still haven't fully adjusted to it. To help me sleep I face a joint and that usually helps. Once in a blue i take a klonopin unprescribed tho

Working the 10-7 night shift is what fucked me to begin with. Ever since I worked that shift I cant stay on a sleep schedule where I sleep at night.

holy shit so we are completely on the same page. My two nights off I cannot sleep at night either and I can't imagine what it would be like going through the entire change again if i were to leave this shift.

People will never understand the night shift. It's mentally damaging and physically damaging on top of trying to keep up with society..

Do you smoke pot ?

I don't smoke, but your right about the night shift being damaging. But in my case the damage is done, and I'm looking for a job now, and I dread not being able to find a night job because it's so hard for me to work a job during the day.

I can imagine it's extremely hard because the daylight makes it easier to stay awake and work and feel fit.

If you have to work at night... That's making everyone tired.

you have a good idea of it, Try imagining it in New york city, Basically my shift ends when the rush hour begins in the city. So I'm like in zombie mode while there's thousands of people all entering the subway the same time and the thousands of cars and trucks ugh it's so frustrating because at this point you just want peace and quiet but it's the complete opposite of that. And that's like the worst part for me

and the second worst part is when I wake up, I still feel like a damn zombie. I completely lost that feeling you get when you wake up in the morning and feel good and ready for your day.

I wish you the best of luck, I'll probably be going through this type of situation sometime in near the future
