As a graphics junkie (not that great of a designer however) I can tell you that practice makes perfect. Mess around and try all types of stuff and it really were prefect your skills and you'll learn shortcuts and tips. What program(s) do you use?

I just use photoshop atm but i have illustrator installed, just havent used it yet (not sure how to either tongue.png)

 

edit: lightroom* not illustrator.. wtf am i talking about
