VPNs

Hello all!

Before I get into my topic discussion, I wanted to acknowledge the entire osbot community for its vibrant and community-engagment with other members.

Now, getting down to business, some of you may have read previous posts of mine where I mentioned that my main account received a two day ban for notting. This blog post is going to hopefully address and clarify some of that gray area in Jagex's bot detection software that we are all curious to know. While waiting for my two-day ban to expire, I researched numerous websites and blog posts looking for alternative ways to get around bot detection. Certainly, I recommend mirror client because you are essentially pulling the jagex client and importing the bot script, which is undetectable compared to most other 3rd party softwares. Personally, I have dealt with a lot of trouble getting the mirror client to run on my mac. I have tried removing old versions of java and even restarting my mac into a 32 bit resolution. No matter how many times I try, the mirror client fails.

At this segment in my journey, I started looking for other types of protection that would prevent future bans. This is where Cyberghost VPN software comes into play. After looking at a most popular ranking site for VPNs, I came across Cyberghost. This software company offer more than 500 servers in 50 different countries, which premium members get to select the server and country. One of the coolest feature about the VPN is the ability for the software to disconnect when they detect an intrusion on the network, for example bot detection software looking at the IP address and the account. When an intrusion is detected, the VPN disconnects and finds a new server. In other words, the VPN is connecting to safe clients that have no intrusion into the users data. After the past 5 days of using this VPN, I feel safe informing you guys that I think VPNs are worth the investment. Now, I understand some of you are skeptical and have mixed feelings, which you rightly should be skeptical. But I am purely sharing my experience with you guys. Currently, the software is 6.99 a month or you can buy a year long subscription for $30 something.

Thanks guys!

haydensugg is my Skype account.

Cyberghost automatically disconnects at the six hour mark, but I noticed it disconnecting early, sometimes 30 minutes or an hour in. A message always appears, which states "your connection has been disconnected in order to protect your privacy. Please wait while we re-establish a connection with server." I assume it does this feature to protect the user from intrusions. Moreover, if a software detection system, like bot detection, tried to access a users account, which would require the ip address, cyberghost automatically disconnects and places you onto a new server. Ultimately, it continues to scramble the ip address to save the user. I am available anytime. Thanks.

they offer a free version with a limited amount of servers. Typically, the queue line takes about 5 minutes to connect. I just went with premium for the privacy and extra feature that give unlimited speed and data encryption.
