So I read the rules and have surmised that the buying and or selling of scripts isn't allowed  :

"4. Script Sales

The only selling and buying of scripts permitted on the forum are the scripts provided by our Official Script Developers, which are only transact-able inside our Store."

But as I look there is a lot of wiggle room, like what if I gave someone a donation to make a script, does that mean they have to release it to the public?

There isn't any real clarity as to if the public has a right to a script that they didn't donate to, understand that a donation is required but it never states anything about the scripting having to be released to the public.

"Donations for projects are allowed, however they cannot be required. It should be made clear that the donations are going towards you for development and do not benefit OSBot directly."

Semantics.

Incorrect, If I offered to donate for the script it wasn't required so it isn't the same.

You can donate to a scripter if it helps him towards his project. But he is not obliged to release it

Skype clarify please I'm still confused, He isn't obligated to release it to the public? or any party?

You can always donate an account for testing or donate some RSGP if the script requires RSGP to test. You just can't pay the person to write the script for your own personal use.

Who the scripter releases it to is entirely up to them.

I wonder why...

He isn't obligated to release it to the public? or any party?

nope he isn't obliged to, but you can't force him not to

but IF the scripter chooses to just release it to one person is that a problem?

I wonder why...

Why what?

that they aren't allowed to make private scripts, if osbot takes a certain percentage then its win win.

The scripter can release the script to none, one, two, three, or how many people he wants.

Since OSBot is or will become a company, I think they want all sales up front and not under the table.

Okay makes sense, I'm not familiar with the workings of a company and I'm still unsure of how that would be detrimental to said company. Moving on from that. Would you know any scripters who'd do something like that? I'm in need of a specific script, it isn't complicated at all and is pretty damn basic.

Post in the "Requests" section under "Local Script" section or you can PM some scripters and see if they will write a script for you.

You donate for a script to help develop it. You and the script writer work together to complete this project. Them as the writer and you as the tester...

Just "test" it forever.
