Just seeing this now but hope I have time to use it tomorrow. What do you recommend for power mining Iron for settings to stay on the safe side . This will be used on my main.  

I would recommend kourend castle mining, there are 2 iron rocks (i know 3 is best) but this place just seems to be crazy safe I still haven't ever gotten banned there

Yes sandstone mining is supported, including grinder, and including humidify/bandit un-note/circlet of water for desert heat  I gave you a free 24 hr trial feel free to give it a try!
