angry.png so as with multiple others on the site...about 2 weeks ago I got my first Ban (ever in rs). It was a quick 2 day time out and honestly I blame myself for happily training range in one of the worst places to do so (range guild).

Regardless, it wasn't bad...no roll backs, nothing taken from bank, etc. and for the last 2 weeks i've just been playing legit - mostly pking and a little melee /range training here and there.

Question is...do you guys go back to botting after given this first "warning"? Obviously if i do i'm going to play it incredibly safe and avoid long proggies/hot spots but i still have a part of me saying don't risk it.

and lastly...i'm a 40 att 1 def pure with semi high strength already...where the hell would a safe spot be? In your guys' opinion is a random ass npc spot out in the middle of nowhere a smart choice? or stay in the stronghold/etc.?

All help is appreciated and I'm sure these posts are more frequent than not...but I've yet to get valuable info regarding these topics.

Thank you in advance to a damn good community and bot safely. ph34r.png ph34r.png ph34r.png

Firstly, you should never bot on an account, or a shared IP which bots, if you're not willing to lose the bot. I would try and attempt to play semi-legit, thus bot for a few hours, then play legit for a few hours, for a max of 8-10 hours a day, while adding in breaks every hour or so. I tend to run scripts which allow you to talk to fellow runescapers such as fishing.

In your case, 1 def pures are difficult to bot, specially because many places have legit low levels playing, and they'll tend to ask questions.

Range guild is indeed the worst place to train range with the highest ban rate

Jagex generally doesnt rollback or take anything from your bank unless they have proof you were goldfarming specifically for a long period of time.

If you want to use that account to play legit I wouldn't reccomend to resume botting on it. If you want to continue botting I wouldnt reccomend buying 1-2 gold farm accounts to start off with and use those for some GP/$

A main point of botting is so you can AFK and train or moneyfarm, but if you're on your final chance I would monitor it even in the corner of the screen just incase and jmods come. Also avoid people that may report you. For training at that I would just go for PC/guards/experiments but then you know no matter where you are you can always still get reported. Posts as intricate as this aren't too common either btw :) Thanks for posting and yw in advance for the reply.

You need to email jagex, tell them that you don't have much time to train your account and ask if they let you bot your combat stats a little.

thanks mate. :)

If you care about your account, don't bot. If you can handle being banned, go ahead.

And to add a little more depth 1 ban is not that big of a deal if its the first offense and as long as its not a Macroing Major.

I thought the second ban is always perm ban now.

Not usually my main from 2002 was banned for 14 days (macroing minor) in 2006. It expired in 2009. Then i was banned again for 24 hours (again Macroing Minor) in 2010 then again for a week in 2012 (macroing minor). And EVERY single time they claimed they would ban me perm next time and now has all those offenses expired......

So basically if you don't get another offense in the expiry time of the last you should be fine....

I am talking about 07. Everyone that has banned so far has been perm the first or the second time. No one ever made it to their 3rd chance.

Well if that is true than Jagex must have changed their policy on 07scape :/
