Botwatch??

Featured Replies

In my opinion, whatever Jagex decides to implement into 07 will never surpass eoc bot detection. In other words, bot away.

the thing with Runescape moreso than a lot of other MMORPG's is that its gameplay is very repetitive - making it ridiculously susceptible to macroed gameplay. i used to think they had a chance at killing off a large part of the botting community but history has shown that it will never happen :P

As I've heard Jagex implemented botwatch meaning it would detect if someone is botting by the movement because scripts are mostly straight forward and repeats the same process but some scripts does random movements as the human would also views friend chat and other interfaces sometimes does false movements which humans do sometimes when training which makes it undetectable (I think)

From next week you will find a full schedule of bot busting sessions which you are all more than welcome to join. In the future...

botwatch hard at work

You make a very good point. Why would they be talking so much about "botwatch" being implemented into the game. If botwatch is as good as they say, then why would they need bot busting sessions. Excellent point.

The bot nuke was a lie, I am sure this is as well.

I see how the botwatch is doing on EoC, lol.

Agreed lol... Bots run EoC clearly botwatch isn't too effective.. most bans are done manually and ultimately all that bull shit on RS forums is a scare tactic imo

I have botted in several different ways. I also got banned on many accounts but as said before it is not the bot's fault that you get banned it is the human's fault. I ran some bots for over 4 days straight just to see how fast I would get banned. Some accounts where banned after a couple of weeks and some accounts are never banned. I am fully convinced now that all the banns given out are done manually because of people's reportings.

good to know had me alil worried at first although I saw pictures of jmods banning bots at heavily botted places

  • 3 weeks later...

Never have been banned. I don't use the public scripts, so I don't end with 20 more players running the same script, same place, same time.

Botwatch doesn't scare me at all.

Well look at the EOC, probably 60% of players online are bots. I will probably stop botting for a while and see if the ban rate increases at all and if it doesn't well...

well it says they've already banned 21k players, but nobody seems to be reporting any bans.

Most of this stuff is just to scare people. They can only go around manually banning bots
