My story was, my phone was in my pocket, put my clothes into the was and an hour later my phones over the radiator with rice in it. Sadly it died.

But you know what they say, learn from your mistakes!

I went swimming with a phone once, tried the rice trick had no luck sad.png

I had that problem once too, i went to school in my swimming clothes and when i got home i jumped in the pool. I was like 11 or 12 back than and had an old samsung flip phone haha. After 1 hour i got out the pool and was like 'Uhm... Dad?! My phone is still in my pocket!!' He thought i was joking, but we lay my phone in a bag of rise and after 2 days tried to turn it on. Didn't work, but oh well they gave me a new phone instead hahaha!

damn, spilt a cup of tea over mine, triewd everything you done, worked for a few days then died again.

And as soon as it hit she said it shut off.

I got home and tried to turn it on, it clicked the the processor was trying to turn on and itd just shut off.

I was pretty disappointed.  She said it was about 15 minutes before I arrived.

So I said what the hell lets try to save it then!

I opened the screen in an L shape, and put it in front of a space heater for about 15 minutes to dry it out.

Once it got warm I took it apart, grabbed some mineral essence and a clean rag and wiped everything down, put all the parts on a tray and turned the heat up in the room to 80 for the night.

In the morning I cleaned everything one more time, and ran the heater up close to all the parts.

After everything was dry I reassembled everything, and let it charge for about 30 minutes.

Boom, its working smile.png

So it is possible to save before it gets shorted, even if it looks like its not going to make it!

rofl. no, you have to open the laptop and then completely submerge the laptop in a bucket of LONG GRAIN rice which will attract me to the rice and i will dig and find the laptop and then I will commence repairs.
