I got banned for the first time yesterday, it says my account will be available again in one day, but if i click to check the evidence it says the offence expiry is in 2016. I'm a little confused, does this mean i'd be able to use the account again tomorrow? The offence is bot busting moderate. 

Yes you should be able to get back on tomorrow. As far as the evidence expiring I don't really know what that means.
Maybe its saying you can submit an appeal and you have a year to do so. 

Anyways gl botting don't bot again on that account unless you're willing to lose it. 

It means you can play again, and that offence will be lifted and expire or in other words Squashed,  on the date listed.
