Unknown Host - Please Contact Forums

Featured Replies

Never used to have problems with osBot, even have a few paid scripts. Recently after a few updates I have no longer been able to fully load/access any of my scripts on the client.

I've tried both proxy/no proxy. When i load the client, it goes from "OSBot is ready" to "Found an UNKNOWN host - please report on forums!"

Then as i proceed to login on the bottom right, when i click 'login' it spits out 'CONNECTION ERROR' java.io.iOException: HTTPS HOSTNAME WRONG - a general connection has occured.

System: iMac OS X 10.6.8

Java: JAVA SE 6 (My OS is outdated, won't let me update any further) (I've tried to purchase new OS off App store & i've re-downloaded Java/OsBot many times.

I used to not have this issue, so before you start chanting "Get a new computer" , be a little logical as i can bot this one until it goes out.

Thanks.

Get a new computer or install a better OS that does not drop support after 2 years.

Most scripts require java 1.7 anyway so does the bot.

You need Java 8 Update 40, in order to prevent that message to appear.

Okay before you guys post, read my topic. Don't care to hear a "Get a new computer" stop wasting my time & upping your post count. I'm unable to update to JAVA 8 Update 40 because my OS X doesn't support it. Please read the post.

We can't make it work on your current OS

Apple officially dropped support for your OS on February 26, 2014 for that reason you should update to a OS that is supported at the moment. This can either be a new version of Mac OS X if it supports your hardware or a OS made by a different company/person like Microsoft Windows or Linux (I recommend Linux Mint if you are new to Linux).

I hope this clarifies your situation.

If your machine supports dual-boot, install a version of windows or Unix-based OS as secondary OS in order to bot (and install Java 8U40)

This may help you.
