You have to turn user control on up here:

click the white keyboard in the middle by the gear

Click on the grey keyboard icon on top-right between console icon and settings

Thanks guys! I'll leave this thread up in case other people are as dumb as me.

On your bot client, there are 5 buttons on the top right: +, console, keyboard, options, log out aka username.

 

Press the keyboard button. Once you do that, you can move your mouse and type on the keyboard. If you are running a script, make sure your mouse is off screen to prevent unnecessary movement.
