Always want to have cash at the house for emergencies, such as debit cards stop working etc.

i think that the overthinking/being paranoid is what made u lose the money.

that is some bad luck right their. My buddy lost 400$ one drunken night, he had a roll of cash in his hat and left his hat on top of the car when he drove off. Needless to say he never saw that money again
