He was making fun of people who say that the human eye cant see more than 30 fps. Hats off to you for not being a douche about it though

I did computer repair for 2 years and the vast majority of our business was from poorly built Acer computers. They look nice at first, but they're awful when it comes to longevity. I would go with on of the Lenovo's priorly mentioned. Good luck finding one! 1
