"..endless pool of major companies such as..." is singular, so it should be "is" not "are".

 

"Although there seems to be an endless pool" instead of " Although there are a seemingly endless pool".

 

 Their blockbuster game that made it happen was the Duke Nukem franchise.

 

A franchise is not a game, but a collection of games.

"Their game (singular) that made it happen" can't be "a collection of games".

 

 

I could take a look at the grammar/style tomorrow if you want.
