Some people using the marketplace require more PM's per hour in order to buy and sell items. 

Sometimes skype is not a preferred way of making transactions as it is third party software, and i am one of those non-gold selling companies who rely on pm's to communicate with people on here.

However it also does stop randoms just signing up & Pm'ing random links/other websites...( spam )

I feel like only people with less than a certain amount of feedback/post count should be restricted

ex: less than 100 feedback = restriction

Thank you for your support guys. the spam and new account making is an issue, however the annoyance it causes for the wider community needs to be dealt with

 

I vote that a restriction is implemented based on post count, feedback or other. Some sort of way that the wider community can still PM regularly would be so much more helpful.

 

Post count is probably the easier situation, as its easy to pick out people who are spamming for posts, and people other than the marketplace would probably use the PMing function, so feedback would be hard to get for such people

If you don't like it buy VIP, I'm not going to risk people sending out mass advertisements or phishing links. Not many scammers/phishers/advertisers are going to pay 9.99 just to spam a link to get banned. There is no feature that will allow us to enable pm at a certain amount of posts or I would have already done that.
