Yes, I assume I even installed the newest one, it was like Java 7.71 or something, it "upgraded" it from 65 to 71.

Somewhere down the line you've selected WinRAR to open your .jar files, is there no option saying open with -> ?

how do I do that? like when I open the osbot its just shitload of pics etc and few foldrs?

Go to the Folder where the .RAR file is, right click and it should give you options, don't do it whilst it's in WinRAR.

Start -> search -> Osbot -> right click -> open with -> open with java.
