Scripting Questions

Featured Replies

I'm new to this forum and the botting community overall (I haven't actually botted on RuneScape since 2009) so excuse me if this isn't the specified location for threads like these. As of right now I want to learn to develop my own scripts for personal use and perhaps later after a lot of experience start to release a series of scripts to people for free. Before I start investing a lot of time in learning how to create viable scripts (for the oldschool servers) for personal use I wanted to know if it would actually be worth my time.

After looking at a few threads on a variety of different forums I have noticed people have been banned within two days to a week at most, does this mean that botting is dead? Or is it just because their using clients/scripts that are easy detectable by Jagex? I am really interested in creating scripts but just don't want to invest a lot of time for nothing.

Again I'm sorry if this isn't the correct location for threads like this.

Meh, Jagex are on the ball with bans atm, although it's still reasonable safe if you go about botting right (ie not running a script for 24 hours w/o breaks :p)

bot for a few hours, then switch to another bot, then switch to another, ban rate will be lower. but make sure to have a1hr break inbetween each bot switch

Maybe I'll just create scripts for private servers until botting is more secure on RuneScape if it ever is.

Well if you do that jagex will win. I have safely botted almost 14 99's in runescape in my time. As long as you dont over do it you will be completly safe. Yes of course ive been banned but make sure you just watch your bot from time to time. Private servers are kinda usless to code a bot for due to you have to make an injector than create the api to code to, than write a script for it. I learned java from coding bots, that was back when  rsbot was the shit. So go on youtube look up new boston, learn a little about variables nd such. You dont need to learn the advance stuff just yet because most of your code will be in your main script class as you are just starting off. After that if you need any help im in the process of learning this api to code bots for it so if you need any basic questions feel free to ask me.

You don't think going the extra mile to develop a bot for a popular private server would be worth it? There aren't a lot of reputable names/bots for RuneScape private servers to my knowledge and could be pretty unique. I feel like that could be the ultimate alternative as Jagex is banning everyone on 07, even those who are taking a lot of precautions.
