Need help with reducing the CPU usage

Featured Replies

so i got 2 comps, 1 laptop and da main desk one, pc specs are quite similar but da problem is that when i run orion(doesnt have to be orion, any program that uses java) on my laptop, it basically takes like 50-70% of cpu, O and i also have Windows 8.1 on my laptop, does it have any issues with java. I have tried basic things(like setting bootup system, deleting %temp% data, disabling programs on startup, changing tons of settings for better perfomance at "msconfig" etc)/ i have tried some suggestions from osbuddy forums etc but it didnt work.

So i dont get, whats the source of da problem? has someone experienced the same thing? if so , how did u fix it?

any suggestions would be appreciated

Um I'm pretty sure this is what happens when a computer gets old/ slightly outdated and it tries to run large / resource hungry jars such as osbot or even orion and to be honest there isn't really much you can do about it :/

Ofcourse I may be wrong, but with the details you've given me I guess that's what comes to mind.

Yeah, that's pretty dated.

There's nothing you can do to reduce CPU load unfortunately, even overclocking won't do.

Your desktop may be able to be saved depending what socket it's on, could you provide the specs?

Not a "gamer" computer, just one with a stronger processor. Your current one is quite old and isn't very powerful.
