It depends if you want to restart your mac every time you want to switch from one to another.

Part of the point for using a *nix OS is so you can access *nix based tools and such. If you use those tools, then it's better to just virtualize so you can still access them. If you don't really use those things, then usually Windows is a better choice in terms of software compatability and dual booting is fine.
