I believe the chatbox is an interface, and all interface sizes can be debugged. You can also see where their exact placement is.

Turn on mouse coordinates on the client, put your mouse on the left side, then the right side. Subtract and that is approximately the width of it. Do the same with the top and bottom of the chat and that will be ~= to the height. ^_^

So you dont know roughly what the size is?

 

I'm telling you how to find out without giving you the answer.
