dantan Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Can someone who knows explain this vs the normal macro ban?
GimpRS Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Bot busting - Caught by a JMod botting. Macoring ban - System detected you botting and banned you. I am 90% sure that is correct. 2
BotRS123 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Bot busting - Caught by a JMod botting. Macoring ban - System detected you botting and banned you. I am 90% sure that is correct. I am pretty sure you are correct. I wonder if anyone has it on video of a bot busting ban.
Alek Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I'm not so sure about the bot busting ban anymore. I think they just say that. If you get a 2-day (initial) macro ban, it's usually called "bot busting". 2

RoomScape Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Bot Busting ban is supposed to be when a bot hunting mod actually goes out looking for bots and finds them. When they ban them, it's called a 'Bot Busting' ban. These are supposed to be 1000% accurate and therefore you can't appeal it. Macroing bans are supposed to be bans given by the bot detection system that Jagex is using. Whenever the system believes you to be botting, they ban you and that is called a 'Macroing' ban. These bans are supposed to be 100% accurate and no legit players are to be banned by this system, however they do give you the option to appeal it - although your odds of hitting the jackpot in a lottery is higher than them ever reviewing/unbanning you.
