They don't get into your account be you being at fault, they get on your account by Skype being at fault. They go to skype customer service and ask for the info and skype says:

 

ok! You sound like a trustworthy guy even though I have no clue who you are. I'll change your registered e mail address that you've had on here for three years to something totally different because I believe in you.

 

I've changed it so you can recover your pass, have a great day kind sir!

 

That's basically it in a nutshell. 

tl;dr - Skype is gay.

 

Where do I find this "customer service" I'm going to try this on fake account I set-up.
