Question for VPS users

Featured Replies

I bought a vps from vpscorner.co.uk, the 4GB plan which was 21$/month. I set up 3 accounts this morning and I went to check on the control panel if they were still running by checking the ram usage and judging by the amount of ram used they stopped... (Was at 1.5gb now is at 100mb) this is the second time happening since yesterday, last time it happened I logged on my vps with VNC and everything was closed as if the VPS restarted or something... I guess this is not supposed to happen? What could be the causes of this?

i guess, not sure, you're exceeding the amount of ram?

Could have been a system update on your VPS? Not sure what OS your running, but most windows OS's usually apply system updates themselves as default, (usually a little pop-up box telling you the system will update after x amount of minutes) if your not actively monitoring it, then it will apply the update after x amount of minutes, you can change this from the windows control panel on your VPS. Although if it's a VPS then you might not be able to change that setting, I usually use dedicated servers mostly for my bots, so not entirely sure how much control you have over just a VPS.

Could have also been a number of many other things, internet cutting off on VPS (unlikely though), could have been your provider taking the server offline for hardware upgrade (also unlikely, and your provider would likely let you knwo in advance). Best to email your provider and ask if any of those happened, or if there was any other reason that the VPS restarted itself.

Im on ubuntu, I don't think there has been 2 system updates since yesterday... I was using 1.5/4GB of ram so I doubt thats the reason either... There was no hardware changes, I checked the recent news on their website. I'm kind of disappointed, I guess I'll contact them to find out whats up.

im with vpscorner and there shocking, i was running 3-4 bots, not even 24/7 and they capped me below 50% usage now for exceeding cpu usage, each bot was using about 750mb ram, i had the bots on low cpu usage aswell, i bought the top package 21$, 3 core 4gb ram with 1gb open vz swap or however its spelt. they probably turned ya programs off mate tbh, i aint been on my vps since yesterday

What is the typical amount of ram use per bot? Is there anyway lower the ram use?

Seems like you exceeded the CPU usage limit, they could've restarted your vps, thus ending your VNC connection.

Opening a ticket with vps corner and tell them what happens and they should be able to tell you.
