TheReconCheck Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Change the font and font color to something more grungy.
CrisisDesigns Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 Looks really nice Thanks. Change the font and font color to something more grungy. I didn't have a grungy font so I just added a grungy pattern to the text. I changed the font as well, but it's not very 'grungy'
Dylan ltd Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Use the rule of thirds for text, if you are not sure what it is google it. The text needs to be closer to the focal point which is your render. There is too much empty space, use a smaller canvas next time.
Nitrousek Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) Your avatar is still disgusting Disaster, perhaps work on it first This is something more of my style, feel free to use it if you like it more than your current one too. Edited June 25, 2014 by Nitrousek
OurSickStory Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 There really is no "flow", your background should follow the flow of the render, it will look much "cleaner" and not so "empty". The colours are good for the render you picked. As someone already mentioned, the text just doesn't fit and takes up too much room. It's taking away from what you are trying to show off, and you aren't trying to show off your name. The lighting doesn't seem to have any particular path, usually it starts from a focal point and the rest of the background/light follows it, it gives it depth and flow. To be honest there shouldnt be so much dark space behind the render as the render is what you are trying to focus on. (in this particular case). The background doesn't really "feather" in with the render, thats one of the last things you need to focus on, I'm not saying it should mash with it, but it shouldn't "Stick out" from the back ground either, it looks choppy. But you are definitely coming along, please don't take this post as disrespectful we've all been there, just trying to give you some common pointers and a few mistakes even the pro's still do. Hope it helps, good luck, and hope to see more from you!
BurritoBug Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 way smaller canvas move the render closer to the center the lightest part of the background should be behind the render try duplicate you render and put the layer type as colour dodge different font and font colour no stroke on the font
