VPS specs for gold farming?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I am thinking about buying a VPS for gold farming purposes, but I would like to know what min specs does it need to have to run 5 bots, 10 bots etc.. And is it worth buying a VPS for only 5-10 bots?

You could run 5 bots on 4GB ram.

Ten bots I recommend using a small dedicated server as CPU usage may be high.

Or just add my skype: aymel96

To run 5 bots it would run smooth on a 4GB ram.

To Run 10 Bots i recommend using a SDS and 10 bots will run smooth on there.

Hope i helped.

how come on my 8GB of ram i can only run like 5 on 40 fps

Your processor may be a limiting factor. For example, If you have a quad core i7 I could run 5 bots on 4 gb ram. If you had an old dual core pentium for example, no amount of ram in the world would allow you to run 5 bots smoothly.

Could that be my problem? I have an i3 and 4 gigs ram. I have to bot on low cpu mode even with one bot and my normal setup of eclipse, a livestream, etc.

I would allocate 1GB of RAM per bot. 4GB = 4 bots to be on the safe side. :)

What about 6 gigs ram and Intel Core i5?

Depending on which i5, I would say 8-10 maybe, before your ram starts to become a bottleneck. I'd say get another 2 gig stick of ram, if you can and I'd say 10 plus bots, quite comfortably. As long as that i5 is pretty good.

Thanks, another question: What is ram exactly, in detail?

Lol, running 15 bots at once my memory hardly exceeds 4gb, however the cpu usage is quite high. Cinno, RAM is accessible at any time, being that it can hold information during runtime.

Yes the i3 may be the limiting factor.

No depends your processor.

3.4 ghz and 8gb  would be perfect but

3.0 ghz and 6gb i say it would run about 7

Bot takes up to 300 mb of RAM ea. 220 mb min that I've seen. Your OS etc will take up a fair bit of RAM use a linux based OS for the best results of a max of 1GB of RAM.

I'm not going to comment on processors.
