It's only a few lines and it's at the bottom.

The 'members online today' is outrageous, so I can see why that has a collapse option. I don't think the 'online users' needs one, though.

Means less bulk.

I don't see the point.

The only time it's of any use is for if someone wants to see who is in the chat box.

It's only a few lines and it won't matter all that much. I just press the 'end' button to auto scroll to the bottom of the page.
