Hey guys thought i need to get some shit off my chest so gonna post it here :D. If you're ever wondering about going to university i'll say now its probably going to be the best 3 years of your life so its definitely worth it. There are ups and downs when being at uni, one being money situation YOU HAVE TO SPEND IT WISELY! im now in debt and have no money at all to feed myself which can put a guy down.... and i've just been sitting on runescape trying to make this money back but no it does not happen. Its becoming harder each day to live and actually until now i've told myself what am i doing with myself just sitting playing rs when i have exams coming up in a few weeks and i haven't even been to any of the lectures to prepare myself for this. Most my time i just sit getting high with mates and doing fuck all..... This is what uni is about for me BUT you gotta make sure you socialise and have the ability to do work / go lectures.

Sorry had to get off my back :)

100% agree. I missed a lot of lectures this term (Family members passing away). Stuff that was out of my control mainly. And it is now seriously biting me on the ass. I am so unprepaired for exams its unreal sad.png

Edit: Im in my second year as well so these exams actually count >.>

sorry to hear that man, It really is hard to see over lecture powerpoints to see what there trying to get across. Im also in my 2nd year and finding it hard to get myself revising ready for these exams. I also got a trip on thursday for 5 days fml :(

Maybe you should stop spending money on drugs.

I'm skeptical on whether to attend University or not after I finish college.

I have a couple of months left at college.

If I did go to University, it would be a matter of finance that stops me, since if I went; I'd want to do a PhD in either English Literature or English Language, or even Psychology.

Doing a PhD would take around 7-8 years, meaning I wouldn't actually leave University until I was around 26-27; I'd also leave myself £72,000 in debt after all of those years (£72,000= $120837) and with the current economic state, I wouldn't be guaranteed a job regardless of my qualifications.

For this reason I'm taking a gap year to gain work experience and review my options.

I've heard several horror stories of people putting themselves into debt to attain masters degrees and other qualifications and then being unable to find stable work, it's very off putting for someone such as myself.

Josh i'm to young to say but i've heard from my teachers and people i know.

When they take the year off just to get ''work experience''.

Most of them don't even bother to go to university.

I'd say watch out.

Take a year off but finish your university man.

Goodluck all

I just want to save myself some extra money and maybe fast track another qualification to get the upper hand on other applicants.

Either way I'll end up at University, I don't feel like being butchered by my parents.
