Error when trying to open new version of client

Featured Replies

I just updated to 1.8.1 and when I tried to open the new client I got this pop up message:

I tried reinstalling my java but nothing worked. Can anyone help me out?

I suppose you have the latest version of Java? If you do downgrade it, if it doesn't help delete all related to osbot (even scripts folder). If that doesn't work download JDK (on their site it's this one:

Mac OS X x64 179.49 MB   115899.gif jdk-7u51-macosx-x64.dmg).

Tried all of this, deleted everything related to osbot and downgraded my java. Installing JDK didn't do anything either, I keep getting the same error message.

This can be due to a few reasons:

  • Your internet connection is having issues stabilising thus causing the download to stop. Once the download has stopped and is unable to contine, you will then receive the "Network Error" error. You will then have to repeat the process in an infinite loop.

  • If the above happens and you manage to download the client, the client will most likely come up with a corrupt jar message such as:

  • The OSBot servers are under heavy DDoS attack and are unable to allow other users to connect to the main domain where the OSBot download file is held, you will need to wait until OSBot is secure and ready for users to download.

  • You have a program IE: Antivirus or Firewall blocking the download between your computer and the OSBot servers.

Example:

If you have Norton as an anti-virus, It is most likely the reason OSBot will not connect. You need to turn off the "Smart Firewall" for it to connect.

Hopefully this helps. Regards,
