Anyone else like to do road course racing? What kinda setup you got?

Prob forgot a lot of stuff but I can't remember it all, blew it up last year so I put the JDM motor back in it that I bought with the car.

Pushed about 150 then I had to sell it in order to take care of my friend that went into the hospital... It was a very sad day

 

Virgin 1996 Accord Lx 150k org miles on the f22b1, waiting for me in virginia still. Was gonna use it as daily but I moved to MS.

 

Tell me what you guys have or are building.

 

 

First week I had the car, before the v6 swap, still had miata rims.

 

When I first got car I blew the main shaft bearing completly out LOL.

Nice man, I have a 02 RSX Base. Haven't had the funds to do anything to it. I would like to start doing road course racing but just haven't had the time. I know somebody that does it tho they travel down to SC and GA every so often. No tracks that I know of in NC. Heard of alot of ppl that go up to VIR tho.

I care to much about the looks of my car to let it look like that, and spend all the money on the inside. :P I had a 93 del sol sky blue, perfect condition 100% stock 5 speed, was going to start putting money in it and ex told me she was preg and i sold it two weeks later she said i lied.

Thewolfofrs - my buddy has a 02 RSX with the k20 in it, hes going for looks though. That k20 is a turd on the accel lol. But yeah man I go out to VIR every year with my buddies, even if I don't race. Last time I went I spent well over $800.

 

I was one of like 3 people in my area that did a v6 swap into a del sol, we had another guy with a v6 in a black eg hatch. Use to call him Jesus lol. I've spent so much money building cars but it's my passion and I defintely don't regret it. I REALLLLY regret selling that car, because it had a sentamental value to me. Reason I bought the car was so I could drive to and from to see my girlfriend. Well 2012 october 24 she commited sucide, and her parents try to blame it on me... That car was only thing I had left to remember her by :'(. First time she got in the car she claimed the passenger seat to be hers and hers only. She always told me if she passed away she would haunt me if I ever let anyone sit in here seat lol. Well she wasn't lying cause I was taking my bestfriends GF to work in the rain one day and ended up in a ditch. Don't think she like the fact another girl was in her seat. And I will admit I cried like a big baby when I sold the car.

Lol sadly my v6 delsol would probably wamp it on a road course. But I love the color, I was gonna do my del sol in black with offset purple. But By time I got any of the stuff sanded down I had to sel it.

Sorry to hear about that man Ya a lot of people I know usually turbo there RSX's or do a K24 build both being like 10k if done right with the best stuff but hell if it doesnt make some power tho. Im going to a Dyno Day in Wilmington this saturday and theres supposed to be some 400-500hp RSX's there so i cant wait for that. Ive always liked the Del Sol's they just looked cool to me. Eventually I wanna go for speed and looks and also have a track car as well but that will be aways away haha

It's all good now man, she's in a better place.

 

k20 and k24 all motor builds are insane man, seen all motor k20's run faster down a strip then a big block 350. Really I wouldn't even boost it, I would go all motor and leave it be. Just a all motor build would be 6k-10k without boost. I'ev always wanted a show car and then a track car on side that I could cut up and do weight reduction on. My friend actually cut out his own mini fenders for his hatch for vir. Looks goofy but reduces weight by a lot.

 

I love the way the k20 vtec sounds when it cracks, way louder then the mini me swaps.

ahhhh the good old b18.... One hell of a motor for the amount of shit me and my friend put his b18 thru. My buddy had a b18b in his CRX, built bottom end I think it was, stage 3 cam on a light tune on some kinda JDM ECU. Ran a wideband and had vtec cracking at 3.5k LOL. He was pushing at least 350, cause I seen him pull hard on a 2001 corvette.
