first one was just 3D letters, with a brush/bevel effect to make it look like snow.

 

I spent a lot more time on this one.

Really nice job. Really like that charcoal glowing look.

The text looks good itself, but you can see the seam where the image ends, and the outside background part just looks like it's in a .gif format, super low quality looking.

not .gif, nor superlow guality. Just not built on transparent bg and the overlayed fractal texture chagnes teh background color so it gives this stupid looking edges on the sig. I´d suggest to erase the edges of that layer to blend the edges on th bg.
