Osbot closing?

Featured Replies

I have kept coming back to my bot for a few days now to find that it has actually closed down, so I won't even have the file open anymore... is anyone else having this problem?

yeah i was botting yews and my osbot crashed...

Experienced it multiple times before. Never bothered me though

Happens every day for me. cant remember the last time i made it through the night botting

Happens to me when I have an intermittent connection failure. Say my internet is going perfect for 5 hours and a hiccup happens and I drop connection to OSBot for 20 seconds. It will come back online and continue for an hour after that but then close the client on me. Check to see if that is also happening to you.

It could be happening, but why is the client closing? Is it a safe guard or just a glitch

Yeah this frequently happens to me. I think maybe ONCE i was able to bot for about 59hrs. then ever since then cant go all night

It's happened to me before, but not alot recently.

This can be a number of issues:

#1) Your client can close due to an overload in your CPU, OR a lack of Memory (Generally caused by a memory leak) thus causing your computer to overload and force close the client.

Known causes for the CPU overload:

  •  #2
  •  #3
  •  #4
  •  Adverts (If you are a free user), yes these adverts indeed help with this issue.
  •  Having other programs open can cause this event to occur, just make sure you are not over clocking your CPU.
#2) Your connection is having difficulties connecting to the server in which you leave your PC, you log out and you continuously attempt to connect to the OSBot servers which causes a massive increase to your CPU Usage which then increases the chance of #1 (CPU Overload) happening.

#3) Your connection is having difficulties stabilizing and continues to disconnect/connect to the server, in which you go Online/Offline constantly. This effect causes a massive increase to your CPU Usage which then increases the chance of #1 happening.

#4) The server itself is having trouble stabilising and is either under a DDoS attack in which you cannot connect to the server and the above happens.

The other reason (the lack of memory) are a mixture of things:

  • Your computer is literally a toaster and doesn't have enough memory to support OSBot.
  • Your computer can't handle the Memory Leak bug on OSBot currently.
  • Your computer has been left on for way too long and the available physical memory is close to nothing.

Hopefully this helps. Regards,
