Then the client closes.

Try reloading the client a few times mate, after a couple of attempts, it should load.

Most people, including myself, had to reload it a few times to make it work after the update.

Had the same problem, Restarted the client a couple times and it was sorted 

Your username connecting to your folders has foreign symbols. You need to change them so that they do not contain foreign symbols.
