Levi Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 a quote from albert einstein: Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it’ll spend it’s whole life believing that it is stupid Can someone please explain this quote to me
Catastrophe Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Fish don't climb but they swim. Meaning that just because someone can't do one thing, doesn't necessarily mean they cannot do another. Everyone has an area or field in which they will and can excel in, in comparison to other fields; in the fishes case; Swimming and Climbing. Fish cannot climb, but they are great swimmers. The same way as some people have a mind for science and academics, where others are physically gifted. Not to say that both cannot exist within one entity, but usually that person will always excel in at least one area. So don't judge others for what they cannot do or achieve, but instead; exalt them for what they can achieve. Edited March 26, 2014 by Catastrophe 1

Failed4life Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Don't judge people by the things they cant do, but instead praise them for what they can do.

Arctic Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Like no one quotes Einstein. This is probably why.
Sigma Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Focus on what an individual can accomplish rather than on what they cannot.
