Am I likely to get banned botting on my main?

Featured Replies

I'm kinda confused because I see main accounts botting all the time, even ones with loads of 99's, yet people on this site talk about botting as if you are definitely going to get banned. Could someone clear it up for me please, do you people only bot to gold farm and not on actual accounts?

Cheers

Take it a few hours at a time and play alot of legit, I bot 2 days a week max.

It's more unlikely for you to get banned if you bot on your main (It looks like you're legit)

Everyone gets banned in the end if you don't quit botting. I've been botting for a month on my main now, 12-20/7 and still no ban.

its fairly rare depending on the age of your main (the creation date of the first account ever made) and how often/how long you play, i used to actually legit play for hours upon hours on end and now i just bot for hours and hours upon hours, the longest i've ever ran my acc for is 3 days consecutively but one time i played for 4 days legit, sooo....fair to say i let the account "sleep" for a good day..lol you just have to understand how humans act when it comes to "breaks" and things of that such. but yes, everyone has the ability to be banned, no matter what if you bot your at risk to be banned so if you don't want to risk your account its as simple as not botting.

It really depends on what you're botting and to what extent you're botting that method.

When I bot on my main, I usually babysit unless it's in an isolated area, which as NMZ or a POH.

When I bot I do it for long periods of time without taking breaks, I don't know why I'm not banned yet. I find it hard to believe that so many people get banned so easily

My exact thoughts! I do 30 hour+ sessions with NO breaks.

hmm, how old is your Runescape account?

I created the account in 2011 I believe. But started playing OSRS when it came out. Even in RS3 I was never banned. Almost maxed out the account before OSRS arrived.

i thought that older accounts could be luckier but I was wrong, my account was made in 2006 :D

I've been banned once before, this was when I talked to mod Jacmob in irc and gave him my rsn, he said that I botted earlier that year (2013). It was only a 1 day ban with no rollbacks though

I've had older accounts get temp bans for botting. Something about the one I'm on now won't get banned no matter what I do. Hey, I'm not complaining :P.

Really depends on a lot of factors. I guess jagex takes into consideration the age of your account, mine personally is almost 7 years old. I've botted just about every stat I have today. 115 cb all botted lol. 99 Str 97 attack botted as well.

i wouldnt recommend botting overnight, or botting more than 18+ hours a day, its just too bot-like.
