SDN upload process feedback

Featured Replies

So far I'm not impressed.

Uploads on the SDN are the backbone of OSBot and should be given top priority. Tomorrow will be a week since I requested a script on the SDN and it hasn't even been viewed yet.

  • It bothers be that the problem with SDN uploading that has risen in the past week hasn't even been made public.  And from my knowledge, it's been going on for a few days and it still hasn't been fixed?  Seriously, this is how you make money! Do you not like money? you sure are delaying your own profits by not dealing with the problem at hand!

  • Seriously, a WEEK to upload a script to the SDN? If Alek's is extremely bogged down, that's no problem, but the solution is to hire (do they even get paid?) another script manager! Seriously, how hard is that?  I have seen people complain to NO END about bugs in scripts and the script writer has to keep assuring them it'll be fixed... when it gets pushed to the SDN.

Rant over.  Please fix this mess.  It's not only frustrating to script writers, but to OSBot as a whole.

mad?

That's really unnecessary is such a topic..

OT: I very much agree however please understand that @Alek is:

  1. Extremely busy with IRL work & development of his software/project. Thus Maldesto is looking to hire another SDN assistant to help out with the SDN
  2. Alek wasn't able to compile or push any updates as there was an issue with the SDN. He has contacted the devs and they're taking care of it right now

I waited 9 days before I even got a reply from Alek. It's stuff the happens, OSBot is currently going through a bit of a shift so best thing to do is be patient

I understand #1 - which is why I said to hire a second.

#2 - by right now, do you mean at this very moment they're fixing it? or right now as in 3 months from now like OSBot 2

This issue occurred recently, as there was issues pushing my script updates too. I have 2 SDN requests currently pending

I understand it happened recently, but when you say "they're taking care of it right now" do you actually mean that one of the devs is currently working on it as of 11:00 AM EST, march 6th 2014?

..or did they say they're looking into it

No reason for this post: Alek is doing a great job by himself for a one-man army, give him the credit he deserves and be patient. After all your Rooftop script will be premium and your benefiting from it by it being released so if it takes 1 week or 3 weeks have the patience...

They're taking care of it right now, whether it's this exact period of time I cannot tell you. All I can say is be patient, like I said. OSBot is going through a bit of a shift so things might be shaky for a few days

A compliment followed by a limitation.  Deception.

I never said he wasn't doing a good job.  The problem is he is far too busy, creating a bottleneck.  What would happen if Maldestro was too busy and couldn't for forum admin stuff?

The point is YOU'RE trying to use OSBot as a platform for income, therefore whatever problems they experience in the process, you keep your mouth shut, deal with them and hope they get fixed.

Without us OSBot doesn't make money.

We have an equal say in things.

Sigh. I gave you you reason behind the delay, now you can either be a spoiled brat or just wait. Thank you

I appreciate the insight into the problem.

The point I'm trying to get across is we need to speak up and raise concern for the problems we are having.  If we don't, nothing gets fixed/changed.  Sorry you took it the wrong way.
