I'd highly recommend you take a look at DeviantArt and some of the tutorials there. It will help you understand the different elements of a tag. Also, please stay away from text, it's very hard to get right and it will only make your tags look worse.

It looks good, but the text just kills it. You would think it would fit with the darker black inside the blue, but it looks out of place. I'd say (My preference) at least try to make it a bit smaller, darken it a bit more - blend it in.

 

Other than that, you did a fantastic job for your first signature.

I will take a look into it.

for a square one newb looks good, keep it up. Focus on learning some blending, lighting/light source and overall depth and you'll make big improvments

The text is something you should improve on, but the rest looks good for your first ever signature
