Ok so my mauler is pretty much done, it's an obby tank. You can see everything in this thread here: http://osbot.org/forum/topic/35654-obby-tank-gilgad-style/

Anyhow, so I wont be using range/mage - Maul. I will be using Slayer Staff - Maul. Fact of the matter is I rarely hit, so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the difference between 1/5 attack?

I've only made strength pures and obby tanks my whole time I've played runescape. If you really just want to hit more frequently get 5 attack. Since you're an obby tank I wouldn't say go over 5 unless you're getting 20 and you're keeping your defence level under 60 for d boots. You can easily swap the rune boots out for climbers if you like for the extra str bonus a bit but I'd say 5 or 20 attack.

id suggest sticking to the 1 attack, no point for 5 really, i had 80 str 1 att worked excellent except for dbow rushers

If it doesn't change your combat go for 5 attack, unless you wanna be on the safe side and not accidentally gain a combat level.

Are you saying you are not hitting on npc's or in pvp?

I used to notice a big difference. Pvp you will hit just fine.
