What will happen when/if Legacy is released?

What will happen is some RS dudes are gonna have a nice wank.

No, but seriously...

I think in my opinion, It won't affect 07, because the new combat system is still there.

But there will be the old combat system which a lot of people like(d).

It's also the graphical side that people didn't like with RS3, If only legacy is returning then that just means that the old combat levels, styles etc will return. People won't play due to the graphics of the game, and how much it has changed.

Jagex said that the interface will be like how it was.

I think it might have a greater impact on RS3 if legacy is released. If the old interfaces do return then I think they are doing it to make the gross numbers of players on RS3 be much higher.

Hmm, probably. I'm interested in seeing how it'll turn out.

Could go 3 ways if i'm honest; people will either leave OSRS for Legacy, Or it'll just stay the same as it is now and people aren't that bothered about it. Last way would be that people would just leave RS3 for oldschool, as too many changes would be taking effect in RS3.

I can only really seeing the first or last one happening.

I reckon people would just get up and leave osrs and join RS3 as EoC was the reason why everyone left RS3 for OS in the first place.

Exactly what I thought. If they do it right, people may go back to RS3 since they have more time invested into that. I know I would, my 07 account is shit.

This is just a stupid hype..

IMO you can't have both.. you gotta stick with either EoC or old system.

You can have a graphics, hp, anim switch but with combat systems it's going to be too messy (prob. buggy too)

also don't forget...

spins, rs3 feel, dual-wield, zooming etc. bah

Jagex wants EoC and we want the old RS back. They're probably not going to take down what they like, even though they don't even play, so they'll add both.

They talk about how important the players are and stuff and they push out some bs update that the majority of which don't even like.
