February 2, 201412 yr Helping a friend out and came to these two options. I know Arma usually is more CPU intensive, but i want to get someone else's opinion. Thanks. Option 1 :: Get a GTX 650 or Radeon 6850 and keep his current CPU, Intel i3 @2.8 GHZ (Could possibly over clock) Option 2 :: Upgrade MOBO and CPU to an AMD bulldozer X4 (not sure which one yet) and get a lower end GPU like GTS 450 Any help is much appreciated, thanks! February 2, 201412 yr I have two pc's with both decent gfx cards. I'd recommend either the GTX 7950 or the Titan .
February 2, 201412 yr i3 3rd gen (2.8ghz), 8gb ram, current is Intel Graphics HD 2500 Then i would recommend getting a new GPU, instead of getting a 650 get a 660 it,will perform a lot better(only a little more money), Since your current GPU is a IIG(Intel intergrated graphics) Your current CPU i3-3220T(this is what i wanted to know model/type) is fine honestly, Also you cant OC your CPU(DON'T TRY). Your ram is fine, i also presume you are the op's friend. You should be able to run arma 3 on high maybe even ultra but defiantly not AA+.(With the new gpu) GL Edited February 2, 201412 yr by dogkind
February 2, 201412 yr I would recommend also getting a new GPU. You can better buy AMD Radeon GPU since its better with gaming (and its cheaper). I would not overclock the i3, since there your friend is possible using the standard Intel CPU-cooler and that is not recommended. ;)
