So i have completed the monkey madness quest on my pure but have not returned to the island in fear of getting the defense exp. is it true that i can go to the island and chin without getting the quest exp or was this dude at rock crabs lieing to me

No, you can't go back since you did the quest. Too late.  You have to choose XP to be able to get to island again.

 

 

Yes, you can go Chin and not get the XP. Only way to get the XP is to finish the quest, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong..

lol dude its fine. The only way to get defence xp reward for the quest is to talk to Daero. You can go back to the island.

    Na can't go back, when you talk to Daero you will finish the quest and gain defence XP, I've done this quest several times. ;) If you think I'm wrong, we'll pk zerk buddies soon.

    Why did you finish the quest? Couldn't you have chinned the skele's without completing the quest?

     

    I chinned them until 99 range on RS2 (prior to EoC) and the XP difference I got from just a crossbow and bolts were amazing.
