I didnt have him when he transformed because I could not find a good render of him transformed that I liked where he was facing this way... They were all facing forward or his hands werent in the right place

There really was no before....

 

1. It was a stock of an empty street

2. I added a render of goku to the left, a render of vegeta to the right

3. Created the laser beam blast things

4. Colored them

5. added various layer maps

6. sharpened/blured

7. added some burn and dodge areas

 

There is a tiny bit more than just 7 layers but that is the general idea of what I did...
