Gold Farming: Is it worth it?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of starting a gold farm. I would be willing to purchase members on maybe 5-10 accounts.  What script should I use? High ban rate script or low ban rate script? Realistically, would I be able to actually sell the gold made via the market? Would my simple windows vista, with no specs meant for gaming, be able to handle it? Will this even be liable with the price of 07 gold dropping fast? If you can answer any of these questions, please do lol

idk my computer can barely handle 3 and i thought it was a good computer not meant for gaming but recently bought . And yes goldfarming is worth it . can easily make 500 a week .

If you want to be a serious goldfarmer then u'll need 100+ bots

It worth it but if u cant run more then 20+ then dont do it

I don't necessarily wan't to take it to those extremes, I just want free, easy cash ;p

On EOC? Hell no.

On OSRS? Absolutely. The gold price is good and you could make a good amount of money off of goldfarming.

No offense but why would anyone ever tell you the exact details down to the very script and method of their gold farm?

If you want to learn figure it out yourself the information isn't too hard to find.  But if you have an old Windows Vista machine there is absolutely no way you will be able to run 10 bots or even close to at a time.

It's definitely worth it, although you'd need to buy a vps, lol.

Running a gold farm on a home computer is just not possible, running 10+ bots 24/7, the computer couldn't handle it, especially when it's not a gaming computer.

You shouldn't make your accounts lvl 3s with names like awsjhfdaiguhwge, try and put on some noob gear, and make a name. It's up to you what to bot.

Could you please tell me about a vps? I've heard of it a lot but I don't know what it is exactly.

A VPS is basically a 24/7 server that you rent from a hosting company. You can then use them to run bots on.

Cost?

Cost?

The cost depends entirely on how good the VPS is and the company you are with. You could get one cheaply that will struggle to run even 1 bot but you could get an expensive one that could run like 50 but if you want to run that many you would want to get a dedicated server. When you buy a VPS you pretty much buy a portion of a server which is shared between other people but if you get a dedicated server, you own the whole machine.
