Don't care to type up my points except for one. To the people claiming that "alcohol is terrible" I know someone who has to drink red wine just to get up in the day. If he doesn't his kidneys will be severely crippled.

all stoners claim it doesn't effect them, from being a stoner myself i can say i think it should be legal as long as alcohol and tobacco are legal but that doesn't make it harmless, smoking weed all the time is depressing and a waste of money.

Actually in Belgium you're allowed to have one female plant and 3 grams of weed on you is illigal but tolerated and will only get you a simplified verbal process ( vereenvoudigd proces verbaal) and it also may not disturb people around you so you're not actually allowed to smoke it in the park or anything.

The pass you're talking about is probably the Dutch weed pass i guess? or there is some new thing I have yet to know about

Actually hundreds of years ago Alcohol was extremely good for people, back then water wasn't filtered and clean like it is today, water was dirty and caused many illnesses, whereas beer allowed the people to drink something else rather than dirty water.

Seeing as it's a natural plant, and it doesn't harm you as anywhere near Tobacco and Alcohol does - why the fuck is it still illegal?

 

I am quite positive it will be legalized within the next 30 years. Quote me on that;).

In my opinion weed should be completely illegal as throughout my family my cousin zach went through a huge downfall with it.  Weed made him start doing heroine. As of now he's a 24 year old with withdrawal symptoms and no job. He stays at home every day at his parents house because he is rejected from any job that he try's to get because of his permanent record. Weed not only lead him to heroine but trying new things like hard alchohol and ecstacy. Zach went to an engineering school to get a degree in the engineering of diesel trucks but now he can't since he has 3 DUI's and drug use so he has to wait 7 years before persuing his career. All Im saying is dont try weed as it can lead to a life with bumpy roads, and a mountain of depression.

then i went to space truffels (The legal version of paddos in netherlands)

 

I did it twice, the second time were the most hard ones there was to buy.

Before i did the second time with the truffels i didnt feel realy okayy about it.

 

But my friends told me it was OK and kinda made me eat it.

 

Then i got a bad trip.

It was the most scary fucking thing i ever experienced in my life.

 

And now whenever i use 0.6/1.5+ gram of marihuana, I get a sort of fucking paddo space trip.

 

I also got a few "Flashbacks"

That happend to me when i was weak, like an hangover.

 

The first time i got that Flashback, i paniced and got anxiety attacks for 2 weeks, making me panic 24/7

 

Now i,m not using it anymore, and im 90% healed.

I only get anxiety attacks very very very often when im like realyy stressed.

 

Anyways, As statement

No proven long term side effects

Compared to alcohol and tobacco, its alot better for you. Alcohol leads to massive problems, aside from the health problems caused from long term use, such as liver/kidney failure, it also causes an increase in aggression and violence, which leads to alot of ER visits etc.

The only problem with cannabis, is when drug dealers lace it with other, hard drugs. This is when it causes problems, however if it were to be legalised, and restricted (R18+), it would be taken away from the gangs and dealers, and sold over the counter from reputable sources. People are always going to smoke it anyway, it would be alot safer if it were to be legalised.

Another problem with it being illegal, is that we can't use the plant for other things, it is a crop that has been heavily valuable for hundreds of years, not because it got you high, but because how versatile the plant is.

It can be used as a fabric for clothes, 4x warmer and 5x stronger than cotton

Used for paper, it is 3x as efficient in terms of space that it uses, compared to trees because it's 80% cellulose not 30%. It's paper also doesn't yellow with age

The seeds are very healthy to eat, especially for vegetarians as they have a high level of protein.

Smoking the drug also helps to repair the receptors in the brain.

Used as a fuel source, it's oil is a carbon neutral fuel.

Widely used as a medicine for people will cancer etc, as it is a painkiller, and prevents the nausea etc.

The only real reason to make it illegal, is to protect the profits of companies that are into wood for paper, and fossil fuels.

it doesn't cure cancer, it does however "cure" alot of the effects caused by cancer, and the drugs used to "cure" the cancer.

Wow dude, it's common sense. When using any substance, especially stronger, mind altering ones you have to be comfortable doing it. The fact that you did it even though you doubted it and were hesitating shows you're not mature enough to be messing around with drugs. Expect a bad trip to happen if you're not completely set on doing it... if you have any hesitations then don't do it?
