Marijuana: Legal or illegal.

Featured Replies

It should be illegal.  The percent is going to be higher because a lot of Americans are stubborn and want to do things just because they are illegal, or they think they have to turns to drugs because their life is awful.  If weed is legalized more children growing up will think it is okay to use since it is "legal'.  And weed is a gateway drug so if it is legalized more people will be using even worse drugs than weed.  If it does become legal I think that's how zombies will take their place because people will over use drugs and kill all of their brain cells.

Don't care to type up my points except for one. To the people claiming that "alcohol is terrible" I know someone who has to drink red wine just to get up in the day. If he doesn't his kidneys will be severely crippled.

Ahhh Red Wine

Alcohol is terrible, it has severe long term damage.

My Nonno, (Italian) is dependant on red wine, if he stops drinking the with-drawls are likely to kill him.

Same with the cigarettes, all of these take a long term toll.

How ever, red wine itself is healthy, the majority of Italians live very long because of good quality food and red wine.

The wine itself thins out the blood, less likely for a stroke.

But you can do the same with non alcoholic red wine, so the alcohol itself is a poison.

Hence why your friend needs to red wine, it helps the kidneys dilute the blood.

Weed, is much, much more healthy than any thing and in moderation has no side effects.

I believe there's too much propaganda on weed, I mean if you found a cure, but this cure would put other major companies out of profit who bribe you, wouldn't you talk shit on that product too?

In my opinion weed should be completely illegal as throughout my family my cousin zach went through a huge downfall with it.  Weed made him start doing heroine. As of now he's a 24 year old with withdrawal symptoms and no job. He stays at home every day at his parents house because he is rejected from any job that he try's to get because of his permanent record. Weed not only lead him to heroine but trying new things like hard alchohol and ecstacy. Zach went to an engineering school to get a degree in the engineering of diesel trucks but now he can't since he has 3 DUI's and drug use so he has to wait 7 years before persuing his career. All Im saying is dont try weed as it can lead to a life with bumpy roads, and a mountain of depression.

Your family is what lead him to heroine, your lack of support and degrading stance on weed is what gave him a life of bumpy roads with a mountain of depression, by the sounds of it; he wanted to escape you all.

From ex junkies perspectives I know heroine is the closest thing to suicide; Ironically none of them ever, ever blame weed for it.

weed is not a fucking gateway drug. If you think it is your fucking stupid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7jokjamyjg

its the safest substance on the planet!!! ZERO DEATHS EVER RECORDED IN OVER 10000+ YEARS OF USE!

Bottom line, man should NOT be able to determine the "legality" of natural life.

weed gives psychological problems in the long run.

Because it doensn't harm you atm, doesn't mean it will wont harm you.

illegal - for fun

legal - for medical reasons. (extreme pain)

All I have to say is, we made a plant illegal. That's stupid. It's a plant. Most other hard drugs have to be synthesized in a lab but marijuana grows freely in a lot of weather conditions and a lot of places. It shows no lung harm in hundreds of studies, and the states that have legalized it have benefited from the marijuana industry and improved their economies.

It's really hard to argue that it should be illegal when so many things are beneficiary factors.

I see a lot of posts on here that are just plain wrong, honestly.

Myth #1: Marijuana causes cancer.

- Okay, you have to be an idiot if you believe this one. A lot would say it does because of the smoke from marijuana. Smoke from marijuana and smoke from cigarettes are completely different. No one in the history of mankind has died from smoking marijuana.

Myth #2: Marijuana is addictive.

- Smoking marijuana is a habitual addiction depending on how often you smoke it. It is not addictive in the sense where you go crazy or nuts if you don't smoke marijuana, nor do you react in a way that you would if you quit cigarettes if you were to quit smoking marijuana.

Myth #3: Marijuana is a gateway drug.

- There is nothing active in marijuana that would cause a marijuana smoker to want to try another drug such as cocaine, meth or heroin. It is because of the black market that people have tried other drugs other than marijuana. A kid knows a guy who sells his most favorite drug, weed. He rides his bike to the guy's house, and buys some weed from him. This guy proceeds to tell the kid that he has some other stuff he wants the kid to try/buy. The guy also tells him it's some good shit, and it'll make him feel awesome. The kid decides to buy the guy's other drugs. It's as simple as that.

Myth #4: Marijuana is against the Bible.

- If you think Jesus didn't believe in this plant's/herb's/flower's/drug's power, then you're crazy. Exodus 30:22-29 speaks about an anointing oil that called for 250 shekels of "fragrant cane" or something of that matter (many Bible's have different wording). "Fragrant cane" is mistranslated Hebrew text that actually is "qanenbosm" or Cannabis in English. The anointing oil was used to anoint the Holy of Holy instruments of the Israelites temple.

Lets just generalize it into "Hemp" rather then Marijuana, it has plenty of other uses then getting people ripped lol.. the biggest one being that hemp can be used for multiple applications and is biodegradable, hell they could make hemp fuel if they wanted.. It wasn't a problem in most of the world until the 1900s when the use for it decreased and other fibres and plastic material became available, many upcoming companies in the early 1900s realized hemp would effect the sales on new products and couldn't set a tax on it either somewhere along the lines people just decided it was better off banned.. honestly not like anyone cares it just weed... now the coca tree thats a diff story haha

Well it should be illegal and just tax the fuck out of it.

if people want it who care's if it's not you or affecting you in any-way shape or form!

Kyle about your point, weed can easily lead to bad things such as crack etc, that's why it's illegal in most countries and Alcohol isn't because Alcohol doesn't lead you to try stuff which can harm you and everything around you.

weed isn't a gate way drug, if anything alcohol is the gateway drug, I mean who didn't drink before they started smoking weed or doing drugs, alcohol is always first. and when ppl are drunk at a party they tend to do drugs like coke or meth because when your drunk you don't think, me and my friend were loaded last week and ended walking down the road with a crap load of beer bottles to bring to the store with a beer at hand, underage through town, some much crime and deaths came from alcohol alone, it makes no sense for alcohol to be legal if weed is illegal, I mean who beats their wife when they're fried or goes to bed fried and don't wake up, happens frequently with booze

the law goes against the bible ffs "god" said that your free to use whatever comes naturally on earth, then why is weed illegal? alcohol and any other drug sure as hell didn't come naturally it was made by man, and which one is harmless? wink.png
