So tired of my computer lel, it overheats by doing nothing. I can't even render a 3 minute video in Sony Vegas without it overheating and shutting down

I am running the computer on high performance, and yet its shitty.  It used to be way smoother and could handle heavy games, rendering of alot of videos etc, and thats just a few months back. Not sure if its because of Windows 8.1..

 

I dont got the money to buy new hardware atm, not sure what I can do. Maybe I should buy some more thermal paste for the cpu? Hope someone can help

Naww mate, I just formated the computer a few days ago, and only got a very few programs running on it, which I've always had :L

Go back to win7 then if win7 worked nicely for you?

yeah i might do that, just cba to start over installing shit again lol, its just weird if the OS really did mess that much up :L

Weird, my laptop doesnt work with Wifi after 8.1, so already alot of problems with it

It might be some hard ware compatibility with newly installed software.
If what you had before works nicely, then revert back to that.
