I recently came home and noticed TeamViewer was installed and running, i checked my recent activity, and it said I've been on and playing around 11:30 AM but i wasn't even home. So then I checked my Runescape account and just my cash was gone. (I forgot to check IP). Then knowing that it was gone, I checked my Paypal, Someone had spent $700 to Blue Commercial (Runescape money). Anyone know who did this, how? or How to prevent it???

 

In such a case I would just swipe your pc and reinstall an OS.

This just happened yesterday and I restored my ASUS Laptop to Factory Settings, will that help? And I also checked task manager, but i'm not sure what exactly would be suspicious, or a "KeyLogger" 

First of all, call paypal and claim that payment to be unauthorized.

 

Secondly, I'd do what Articron recommended and do a a clean install of windows.

Yeah It should help, because the malware that was downloaded won't be on the comp anymore.

Anything can be binded with a rat... Java drives are everywhere anyways.

i dont understand how he can get you paypal info just from teamViewer ? and have you a bot running ? teamViewer are close to impossible to hack with..... you can disconnect connection anytime, but i see hard to do when you not home and

use common sense when you are online, if something is too good to be true, it is probably too good to be true and have a virus pogram and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on your computer

I mean, if it restored it to like day one you bought it from the store and all the previous installs/ documents / registery is gone, then you should be good.

 

If you're up for it, download TV again and I can go though your MSConfig/ register  / etc and see if you're good or not.
