Move camera to entity needs to be fixed.

Featured Replies

http://osbot.org/api/org/osbot/script/rs2/Client.html#moveCameraToEntity(org.osbot.script.rs2.model.Entity) does not always work (it will just sit there and not rotate the camera), and sometimes stalls for many minutes. This is a major problem in my upcoming BarrowsPro script, and I'd like to see it fixed before its release.

Thanks,

Works fine for me. :l

It usually works fine, but sometimes it doesn't. And that sometimes costs 5 minutes at a time in my case.

Happens to me too

Make your own, It's how I fixed it for myself, or at least a few months ago. I've notified maxi months ago also, but apparently no fucks were given. It was breaking because of the location in the region since the elevations go weird in some places the camera gives out trying to perform a impossible action. Usually ended with a infinite loop until I manually corrected it.

I get the same thing. Other times it works but moves the camera in a very bot like way...example if the entity is right on the edge of my screen the bot will decide to rotate pretty much a full 360 in the opposite way to see it instead of just moving it slightly.

Make your own this makes you look bad you should delete it before your  customers find out

I guess people will just have to use the barrows script on that other site since you can't seem to develop one :/

I noticed this bug when I tried to use it myself; gave up on it. The whole API in general needs to be updated. Good luck with getting this fixed before your script is released.

Yea, it is broken for sure.

I normally add in a failsafe where if it fails to rotate the camera it tries to walk to the npc.

This happend to me when I made a woodcutting script. I thought I messed up but guess not! :D

I frequently use this method in my scripts and this broken hook has caused several deaths in Insane Ankous + Insane Druids...

Needs to be fixed ASAP.
